About  the Foundation

Tori's Butterfly Garden Foundation, Inc was founded to honor the short, but inspirational life of six year old Lauren Victoria Windsor Whetzel. Tori unexpectedly passed away due to unforseen complications one day after having her tonsils and adenoids removed on February 19th, 2011. Tori's parents, Jeff and Laura Windsor-Whetzel began her Foundation to promote, help and educate others in Tori's passion for the fine arts, gardening and nature in Blackford County, Indiana.

Tori had a love for drawing, painting, and creating art from any medium. She loved to garden both vegetables and flowers. She had helped plant her own butterfly garden which would attract black swallowtail butterflies. She with her parents would raise the caterpillars into the chrysalis stage and then release the butterflies into her garden.

Tori had an incredible smile, an amazing laugh and striking blue eyes. Her infegh she was only in Kindergarten and now she is continuing to do the same even after her earthly life has ended. The "Live Life Like Tori" movement has just begun. Because it is not just about remembering Tori, it is about living life to the fullest each day just as she did each and every day.
